Magari Holding B.V. (Greenhouse-Invest) had the opportunity to sign an MoU with one of Indonesia’s educational institutions, IPB University, on June 16, 2025 during the Dutch Economic Mission to Indonesia. The event organized by the Dutch Embassy in Indonesia was also attended by 70 company delegates from the Netherlands, both from the horticulture, water, maritime sectors.
The MoU was signed by Tonko Gast as CEO of Magari Holding B.V. and Prof. Dr. Ir. Iskandar Z. Siregar, M.For.Sc as Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Cooperation and Alumni of IPB University, and witnessed by each representative of the signing party, Deputy Minister for Foreign Economic Relations of the Netherlands Michiel Sweers and Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. The form of cooperation includes the provision of scholarships and also investment for the construction of greenhouses.
With the agreed cooperation, Magari Holding B.V. is committed to support the sustainable agriculture sector in Indonesia through the construction of greenhouses, one of which is located in the ecosystem by IPB University. This aims to educate and train the farmers, increase their income, create farmer regeneration and enable them to produce high quality crops.
One way to create a regeneration of farmers, Magari Holding B.V. also supports the provision of scholarships, especially for outstanding students who need financial support, with the hope that they develop and become highly productive using innovative agriculture.
Magari Holding B.V. is a private company founded by Tonko Gast in 2010, which focuses on investing in greenhouse construction for small-scale farmers in Indonesia. Currently, the target number of greenhouses to be built is 150 within two years. Magari Holding B.V. is committed to investing in innovative and scalable greenhouses that provide higher and stable income for farmers, and better food using sustainable agriculture.
