On 16 June 2025, Magari Holding B.V. (Greenhouse Invest) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IPB University, one of Indonesia’s leading universities, during the Dutch Economic Mission to Indonesia. The event was organised by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Indonesia and attended by 70 Dutch company delegates from the horticulture, water and maritime sectors.
The MoU was signed by Tonko Gast, CEO of Magari Holding B.V., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Iskandar Z. Siregar, M.For.Sc, Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Cooperation and Alumni at IPB University. The signing was witnessed by Michiel Sweers, Deputy Minister for Foreign Economic Relations of the Netherlands, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development.
What the partnership covers
The cooperation covers two areas: scholarships and investment in greenhouse construction.
Through the agreement, Magari Holding B.V. will support sustainable agriculture in Indonesia by building greenhouses, including one within IPB University’s ecosystem. The aim is to educate and train farmers, raise their incomes, attract a new generation of farmers and help them grow high-quality crops.
To help bring young people into farming, Magari Holding B.V. will also fund scholarships for outstanding students who need financial support, so they can develop into highly productive farmers using innovative agricultural methods.
